The Perfect Plan

Sorry I'm not in today. Here's what you need to get done:

Complete and/or improve the planning of your film opening, including:

1) A good storyboard. Redrafts are signs that you've taken care over it.

2) A shot list. Each shot should be planned in advance, angle and distance included. Each shot should have a name and number, too: A1, A2 etc. This helps you refer to them more easily.

3) A floor plan. If you don't know what this is yet, don't worry about it. If you do, do it.

4) A call sheet, which is a VERY DETAILED schedule of what is happening, when, and whose responsibility it is. There are some on my desk in 004 from a shoot that a friend of mine did recently.
This should get sent to everyone involved in the shoot, including actors, prop owners, crew, etc.

Remember, the planning is something you get judged on. Last year's bunch got punished for flimsy planning; yours needs to be detailed, careful and thorough.
